The tour including 2 splendid sites of Turkey, Istanbul and Cappadocia. You will be able to visit the highlights of both places on the tour and also have some free time to explore on your own. Day 1: Arrival to Istanbul: One of our colleagues will be waiting for you at the arrival hall bearing a sign of Efendi Travel. He/she will accompany you to our vehicle and you will be transferred directly to your hotel. Accommodation in Istanbul.
Day 2: Istanbul Old City Tour:
You will be picked up from your hotel at around 08:30. You will visit: Hagia Sophia , Blue Mosque, Roman Hippodrome Grand Bazaar After lunch you will see: Topkapi Palace , Sultan Tombs and the tour ends about 16:30 and back to hotel Accommodation in Istanbul. (breakfast at hotel, lunch on the tour)
Please note that St. Sophia Museum is closed on Mondays, Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays and Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays. Blue Mosque will not be visited on Fridays.
Day 3: Bosphorus Cruise and Flight to Cappadocia: (check out from hotel in the morning) You will be picked up from your hotel at around 08:30, and the tour starts with Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar). This area is one of the most crowded sites of Eminonu since there are many shops selling cheese, olives, eggs, meat products, dried fruits and peddlers everywhere. You can have a short stop on your way to drink a glass of “Tursu Suyu – Pickle Juice”. There is Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi, the famous Turkish coffee store at the end of the street. This is an excellent place to buy Turkish coffee in the city. Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar) is one of the most colorful sites in the city. Once, the Bazaar was the last stop of the Silk Road from where all the commodities carried on camels from India and Far East was delivered to Europe with ships. Today, it is still very popular among the locals who want to buy spices, sweets, cheese and dried fruits. There are also shops selling souvenirs and jewellery. When you come out of the Spice Market, you will see Yeni Cami (also called The New Mosque or the actual name Valide Sultan Mosque) constructed in 1665. There are bird seeders in front of Mosque and the people sitting on the marble stairs viewing the Golden Horn bridge. Later, you will embark the boat for Bosporus Tour. This a large, safe and comfortable public boat with open and covered areas convenient for any weather conditions. You may buy snacks and drinks in the boat. The cruise takes about 1,5 hours and you will see Ciragan Palace, Beylerbeyi Palace, Bosporus Bridges, Maiden’s Tower and fabulous Ottoman Yalis (sea-side Mansions) during your tour. Your guide will be with you on the boat to give you information about the places you see on the tour. The tour ends with free time in Eminonu at around 12:00 from where you may either visit Spice Market again for shopping or have a walk over the Golden Horn Bridge. The guide is going to recommend you the best way to get your hotel on your own. Free afternoon to explore the area. You will be picked up from your hotel at around 14:40 to be transferred to Ataturk Airport to take an afternoon flight to Kayseri. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Cappadocia. Accommodation in Cappadocia. (breakfast at hotel)
Day 4: First Day in Cappadocia: You will be picked up from your hotel at around 09:00, then you will drive to Devrent Valley where the geographical formations remind a place of another planet. Then in Pasabagi, you will take a stroll between the amazing fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. From there driving to Avanos to have lunch. After having the lunch you leave from Avanos to see the most beautiful examples of Byzantine art in Goreme Open Air Museum. Then you will drive to Uchisar Castle, the highest point of the region, where you will have a fabulous panoramic view over Cappadocia. After the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel at around 17:00. Accommodation in Cappadocia. (breakfast at the hotel and lunch on the tour)
Day 5: Second Day in Cappadocia: (check out from hotel in the morning) You will be picked up from your hotel at around 09:00 for a tour on a 4km hike through the Rose Valley visiting the churches. Afterwards visit the old Christian village of Cavusin. Stop for lunch in Pigeons Valley and then continue on to see the marvel of construction that is the Kaymakli Underground City. You will also visit the Ortahisar Natural Rock Castle. After the tour, you will be transferred to Kayseri Airport to take 19:30 flight to Istanbul. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Accommodation in Istanbul. (breakfast at the hotel and lunch on the tour)
Day 6: Free day in Istanbul: Free time at leisure to explore some and make some shopping before get back to home. Accommodation in Istanbul. (breakfast at hotel)
Day 7: Departure to Airport: You will be picked up from your hotel depending on your flight time and you will be transferred directly to Ataturk Airport.
