TOUR INFORMATION
You will be picked up from your hotel in Sultanahmet and departure with an air-conditioned midibus for 6 hrs of drive to Troy. It is one of the most important ancient cities in the world.
Daily trip to Troy Ancient City, with early departure from & late return to Istanbul. The tour takes place every day with group tours, visiting various sites of the ancient city with its remnants that survived to date. Pick-up from hotels in Sultanahmet and Taksim is available. Please ask for other locations.
This is a regular group tour program taking place with a group of 15-20 people from different countries and places. You may or may not be together all the time throughout the program.
Private tour arrangements can also be made upon request.
Troy Tour:
You will be picked up from your hotel at around 06:00-06:15 in Taksim area or 06:30-07:00 in Sultanahmet area, then start driving for Troy Ancient City, which takes around 6 hrs' drive from Istanbul. You will stop on the way for a small breakfast break, then arrive at Eceabat at around 12:00 to meet with your guide and the rest of the group. You will have lunch with the group, then cross the Dardanelles and drive for Troy another 20-30 mins. You will be greeted by the model of Trojan Horse, stands as a symbol of the famous wooden horse used at the time. Then you will see the Sacrifical Altars, 3700-year-old city walls, Houses of Troy I (3000 BC-2500 BC), The Bouleuterion (Senate Building), The Odeon (Concert Hall), current excavations in progress and the remains of various cities from Troy I to Troy IX. After the tour, at around 17:00, you will start driving drive back to Istanbul, dropping off at your hotel at around 22:30.
Alternative arrangements can be made instead of returning back to Istanbul upon request.
The price is 130 EUR per person, including:
- 1 half-day regular group tour w/ professional guidance in English
- Lunch before the tour (except drinks)
- Entrance fees to the sites visited
- Transportation w/ A/C vehicles
The price excludes dinner, personal expenses and tips (optional).
Private tour arrangement:
If you wish, you may also take this trip as private, with a vehicle and English-speaking guide reserved solely for yourselves.
The price for the private tour is 700 EUR, valid for 1-4 people.
